The Last of the Roaring 20s

I've decided to start a blog on my 29th birthday. I've designed the layout of my blog way in advance so that I could get it up and running today. I've never been really successful in maintaining and upkeeping a blog, and this is my third and latest attempt at a blog that creates hopes, beliefs and inspirations *fingers crossed*.

One of the many birthday calls I've received today made me think. My dear friend was right - this year is the final year for me to refer to my age as "the 20s" - not late, not mid and definitely not early.

As I approach the big 3-0 exactly 365 days from today, I'm thankful to be able to celebrate another milestone with my family and friends. I'm thankful for the birthday cakes I've cut (my third in 2 days), thankful for fun family times, thankful for the friends that have become like family, thankful for cousins and colleagues, thankful for a funny, loving husband... and most of all, thankful to be alive to see myself through yet another exciting and challenging year.

Thank you, dear Alwin, for a great birthday dinner and gift (an iPhone 4S!). My heart always goes a-flutter when we re-visit the hotel where we had our wedding reception.
