Think Pink

Every girl has gone through a "pink" phase. When I was a child, I had pink plush toys, pink headbands, pink accessories and of course, pink clothes. Now all grown up and married, I still indulge in pretty pink things once in a while.

Check out these eye candies in the sweetest candy colour pink :)

Happy Weekend!

I love all things that are pretty and palatable so what better way to end a long, stressful week with gorgeous finds from the web? Especially those that look adorably sweet, girly and colourful!

Have a great weekend everyone and please enjoy the precious short break before Monday creeps up on us again!

Isn't This "Suite"?

This destination wedding invitation suite is designed by the fabulous Wernlu of Daydreamer Design. She did our invitation cards as well and I adore her and her designs. She operates from home, so rest assured that her designs are originally-crafted. I'd call her a "boutique establishment" :)

Love the airmail and boarding pass concept.

Today I Feel Like...

...Tying my hair up in a loose chignon, wearing red lipstick (I'm not a fan of lipstick but I'm really into red lippie now), throwing on a pair of Jackie O-inspired sunnies and going somewhere awesome. Is anyone with me?

Of Mid-week Lunches and Weekend Dinners

So happy I got to spend time with two of my girlfriends last week. I met up with Pam for shopping and dinner at Mid Valley on Wednesday last week. We bought stuff at the newly opened Forever 21 and some shoes and bags as well. The next day, met up with her for again for lunch at Antipodean, Bangsar. I quite like the environment of the cafe - it's small, dark and cosy. I've never had a breakfast platter for lunch before and it was huge! Pam had a Thai beef salad and she said her lunch was like a peanut compared to mine, which is so true. But in my defense, I told her to share it WITH me.

And then on Friday, Adeline, (my high school bestie) and I met up for dinner at Madam Kwan, Empire Gallery, to celebrate her new job offer and to welcome the weekend. No pictures here coz we were too busy chatting and eating. The Malaysian in us could not resist the sambal petai prawn.

Here's to more Girls' Night Outs!
The amount of stuff we bought the previous evening. Well, Pam bought. Only 2 of those bags were mine. Pic is courtesy of Pam's Twitter account

Felt a bit odd having a breakfast platter for lunch

Drive Carefully

Again I stumbled across yet another blog, and I read a post that brought tears to my eyes. One which I just have to share. It was written by writer Nils Ling, and the way he painted the picture of his relationship with his daughter was so exquisite and touching.

Such is the love shown and felt by a parent...

Longest, Cutest and Fun-est Invitation Yet

I was browsing through The Juliet Notes (one of my all-time favourite blogs), when I stumbled across this fun invitation. The invite tells the story of how Jill and Matt met and managed a long-distance relationship, culminating in a fun wedding invitation that is at least 20cm long.
It's funky and non-traditional. I can only imagine a super-duper creative celebration after seeing this.

Counting Down The Days to Europe!

Only one more month to London and Paris with my Mum! This is so exciting, and I'm already thinking of what to pack for the trip. So many questions running through my head! Summer is coming to an end - will it be chilly? How much money should I bring along? I'm surfing the internet for suggestions as I'm typing this entry.

See you soon, Big Ben!
Found this lovely B&W photo of the Eiffel Tower on Trip Advisor. It greatly inspired me to take photos as nice as this one to do the tower justice
Mum and I will be staying with my aunt who lives in London, so we saved tonnes on accommodation. I haven't seen my aunt in 2 years, so the reunion will be something else to look forward to. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on where to visit, what to eat, what to do, etc. to add to my list, I'm all ears. Now if only work can get OUT of my way this entire month. I can't wait to make friends with scones, tea, eclairs, fish and chips and English roast!

Dad's Surprise Birthday Dinner

My Dad's birthday was on 30th June and we planned a surprise birthday dinner for him at Grandmama's at Pavilion KL. Alwin and I had the easiest task, which was to bring Dad to the restaurant without giving anything away. Easy because my Dad, being a simple man, doesn't really asks for or expects much. Violet bought the cake and did the balloon decorations, which she lugged all the way from Publika. Mum and aunt simply had to turn up :)

We had a double celebration, considering Violet's brother Lee, turned 32 last weekend. Lee's girlfriend Yvonne also to "con" him to the restaurant. And then we dramatically pretended to bump into each other.

I must say we were pretty good at this "surprise party" thingy, having only planned it for two weeks. We were all happy and merry, except for the fact that I had a terrible dry cough before and throughout the dinner.

So, if anyone wants a party planned, you know where to reach me...
